Gold Canyon Wedding - Breanne & James

Life is an adventure
Twists & turns may lead us to places unexpected
But distance can never separate two hearts
that are meant to be
Up up and away...
It's wonderful to see a family
celebrate that buzzing, beautiful time
of being together,
at last.

Thank you Breanne & James, for letting me be a witness to your love.

Stay tuned for family pics.. :)

Jaiden Rae

It was beautiful in Tempe this weekend.
Spent some time outside with Jaiden Rae.
She could touch the sidewalk without getting burned...
hello fall!
No more school pictures at this house.
I just follow her around with a camera for a day instead...
And sometimes she follows me back :)
Soon she'll be able to help me out!

I'm so excited for upcoming family & wedding sessions.
There is much to look forward to this fall - officially saying
goodbye to summer!

LookBook!

I was beyond happy to work with Tina Nunez of the soon to be opened DAG Fashions boutique in Gilbert, Arizona.
I love working with people are who are creatively motivated and
following their bliss - this is Tina! She loves fashion and has great taste. I am thrilled that there will be a boutique in the area that will carry all of the looks you see here, and of course much more.
When Tina mentioned that she needed pictures of some of the styles she would be carrying, we decided to have a model contest to help us find the right girl for the job.
The winner was Adrianna Martinez and she was awesome.
I can't wait for the boutique to open up -
I will definitely be a customer with all the cute stuff available. So excited!

Here is a preview of some of the looks:

I had a hard time picking a favorite, but I think it would have to be Indigo Blush.
Which look is your favorite?

DAG Fashions is set to open in late August or early September. Stay tuned for grand opening details!

Engagement - Jimmy & Cathy

I have fun with every session I shoot, but this one... well, this one was definitely a good time.

I know Jimmy through the last job I had, the one that I left to do photography full-time. I really enjoyed working with him. He was supportive during those hectic Red Bull office days and I now have the privilege to have captured part of his next adventure. These are just a few images of many - so much laughter and smiles, I couldn't stop snapping. I had asked them to bring something with them that helped describe who they are. They brought along a galactic bounty hunter (Boba Fett - above) and a vintage Schwinn (love it!) Mr. Boba Fett kept sneaking in  ;)

Such a lovely couple..

What else to do when two awesome people get engaged?

Celebrate.

Much thanks to Jimmy & Cathy for such a fun session!

Easter Party

Jaiden and I had so much fun planning and creating things for her Easter party last weekend.
There is something about cutting and gluing and glitter and all things crafty that makes me feel like a kid again. Here's a few things we put together :)

The kids LOVED the cascarones and couldn't wait to break them. I remember my parents buying these for me at fiestas when I was a kid and was excited to make them. We actually let the kids personalize their own cascarone by adding faces and fuzzy orange and yellow hair to them :)

It was really fun putting everything together - now it's time to take everything down from the backyard.....
:(

and start drumming up ideas for my nephew's party this summer :)

Family Photo Session - Gilbert & Malisa

What more can a photographer ask for when shooting a gorgeous family on a beautiful day at a lovely farm?
I was happy to do these family pics for an old friend who grew up in the same town that I did.
They are so very blessed - just look at these smiles... gorgeous!!!

Thank u Gil & Malisa :)
