This little cutie pie is the new daughter of our friends, Mitch & Diana. They are first time parents and have so much to look forward to :)

Baby! - Jayce & Brayden

Isn't this little guy adorable?! He weighed a whopping 9 lbs, 9 oz when he was born - a little Hercules! 

I have to admit, I am not the best baby photographer. I have not had a ton of experience with newborns so I was thrilled when Johnna and Jason allowed me to get some practice with their new little guy. Newborns like to do things on their own time, so when he was ready to eat and be with mama, I focused on his big brother, who is also just adorable.. what a blessed family!

Engagement - Jimmy & Cathy

I have fun with every session I shoot, but this one... well, this one was definitely a good time. 

I know Jimmy through the last job I had, the one that I left to do photography full-time. I really enjoyed working with him. He was supportive during those hectic Red Bull office days and I now have the privilege to have captured part of his next adventure. These are just a few images of many - so much laughter and smiles, I couldn't stop snapping. I had asked them to bring something with them that helped describe who they are. They brought along a galactic bounty hunter (Boba Fett - above) and a vintage Schwinn (love it!) Mr. Boba Fett kept sneaking in  ;)

Such a lovely couple..

What else to do when two awesome people get engaged?  

Celebrate.

Sabino Canyon Wedding

 I met Alex on a whim during a trip to Tucson for a rodeo & art show. She was wearing a blond wig and red lipstick and stood out among friends, all lingering and laughing in front of the Rialto Theater downtown. We exchanged contact info, became Facebook friends and after seeing the pics from that night, asked me to do her wedding. 

Lucky am I to have been given the opportunity. 

The day was serene. Flowers filled the backyard of her mother's home in Sabino Canyon - a private & quiet spot nestled against the beautiful Arizona desert. 

An antique typewriter & vintage Seychelles were among many classic, fun touches that made the ceremony unique & fun - just like Alex & Jacob.

At the end of our night, a passerby snapped a polaroid of Alex & Jacob while I was taking their picture. It was the perfect, spontaneous & unexpected memento. 

I have many more pictures to deliver to the bride & groom from their special day and I have a heart filled with gratitude that a chance meeting allowed me to be part of it.
